Well hello, my friends, hello.
Just called to let you know.
I’m playing Fibbers Wednesday night.
And if you’re around.
Come on down.
And say.
Hello.

That song, twas also stemming from a chat I was having with a young Lady last night, about hometowns, local people, and all that jazz.
Thanks gal for the spark!
My mind is in a spin from watching Paddy Considine’s Tyrannosaurus, absolutely the best British film for such a long time, my favourite in fact since Naked.. so along with the Shane Meadows films Paddy was in or wasn’t, whichever the case. Next to MeanTime and Mike Leigh’s early masterpiece, I am very happy with British cinema on these aspects alone.
This song happened whilst watched aforementioned movie, it fell out, like playing cards from a rubbish magicians hand. I wanted something simple any beautiful like Tallest Man On Earth may write, or maybe Robin Pecknold demoing it up and throwing it on YouTube.. Simple, effective and capturing clocks, the passing of time and the consequence of time.
Time Piece.
My peace.
